Hi Lou, I used it for while, until I found Craft Artist (By that time it was named Digital Scrapbook Studio) I was hooked since my first time with it. But the program was discontinued and now I think I'll go back to Paint.net if my Craft Artist ever stops working... There are a few PDN users around and I really love it too to make pages. I find it easier to make pages than GIMP or even photoshop!! It is good to know other people who love it too, since it is so unappreciated in our fiel right?! Hugs!
Yes! I completely agree! I tried GIMP once and gave up. For brush work I also use krita (also free). krita also opens psd files with layer styles (PDN does not).
OMG! I just found krita 2 days ago! I am loving it because now, I can open AND work with svg files, wich I found soooo complicated to do in inkscape. I'll be adding a link to krita in my sidebar in a minute. If it didn't start lagging after a few layers, it would become my new all time favorite! Maybe in a next update, who knows?!! I absolutely LOVE all the blending possibilities!
